Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a comfortable stay with well-stocked rooms, although some may find the doorways a bit low. The service was friendly and helpful, but there was a slight issue with a strong detergent smell in the bar area. The location is superb for exploring the Peak District, especially for visits to Chatsworth Estate. The dining experience was a mix of tasty dishes alongside some humdrum options. Overall, a good value for money hotel with clean facilities.
The hotel had both positive and negative aspects. The rooms were adequate, with nice touches like robes and plenty of toiletries, although they felt a bit cramped with no proper ensuite. On the bright side, our room was cosy and well-equipped, including a Nespresso machine and some delicious Chatsworth Estate biscuits.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location halfway between Bakewell and Chatsworth, making it ideal for exploring the Peak District. The rooms, despite being a bit cold, were spacious and clean, located above the car park side. The dining experience was average, with a buffet that was a bit humdrum. The location is superb, conveniently close to Chatsworth Estate and other beauty spots. The price was reasonable considering the amenities available.
